Survey Monkey
Survey Monkey is an online web 2.0 tool that allows you to create a survey in minutes. I have created a survey over technology in education, with only four questions. A survey can be any amount of questions on any amount of pages. Furthermore, the questions can be multiple choice, short answer, true or false, you can even post a picture on a question or page, and have questions be answered over that photo or video.
For education, this can be a method of testing, or prep testing. Also, students in an entire school can be surveyed. This tool is easy to use, and requires a very limited login process. Survey Monkey Pro is available, as with most free tool add ons, for a price but offers more options. The most useful part of Survey Monkey is the way a survey can be shared. You can post it on Facebook for everyone to see and fill out, you can give them email addresses and have them send your survey to everyone in your address book. I chose to embed it on my blog, as you can see.
Automatically, Survey Monkey records answers, compiles percentages and notifies you of averages, scores, and responses in a wide variety of formats. This means pie charts of how answers break down, or graphed information regarding participants and submissions. Overall, this tool is easy and extensive. It makes testing and scoring very simple.
If you want to take my survey, just fill in your answers and they will be sent to my Survey Monkey account. Thanks.

GoAnimate!!!
I highly recommend this website. Creating this video was one of the funnest things I have done online. It is free, and fun, just as it says. It is also self guiding, you are shown how to do everything in a quick tutorial, then you sort of figure out the rest as you go. You can change animations, characters, backgrounds, special effects, sound effects, songs.....and everything else.
For teaching, this would be a great way to make a fun assignment, or even spice up a lesson plan with a funny cartoon, or helpful informational video. The possibilities are endless. I made my video about Star Trek and Captain Kirk's weirdness. I laughed out loud a lot during this entire process.
Basically, the video is broken into pages or scenes, each of these starts blank. you pick the background, add on little characters and sounds and create whatever you like. You can even record your voice for up to 20 seconds per scene, as well as add music files and pictures to be seen. Everything you add goes onto your stuff, then they have already uploaded community characters and stuff from other people. It's incredible. Go do it.
